Trailmark started as a checklist, not a score.
Most onboarding tools roll every new account into a health score or a funnel chart. Both tell you something is wrong somewhere. Neither tells a CS lead which account to call this morning, or what to ask about.
Trailmark starts from the checklist your team already keeps in its head: the steps a new account has to finish, in order, with a time limit on each. When an account passes a limit it goes on hold, by name, with the step it is stuck on.
Trailmark is a fictional product. The idea is real enough to build a whole site around, which is what this demo is.
Three rules the product follows.
- SHOW THE TRAIL, NOT ADJECTIVES
Every claim on a screen points at something you can see: a step, a date, a source. Nothing says an account is at risk without saying why.
- THE ACCOUNT IS THE UNIT
Averages hide the account that needs a call. Trailmark lists accounts by name, one card each, never a cohort percentage.
- EVERY HOLD NAMES A NEXT STEP
A held account always shows the step it is stuck on and the person who owns it, so the next action is obvious.
What changes when you track milestones
| Health score | Funnel chart | Milestone trail | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Answers | Is this account healthy overall? | Where do accounts drop off, on average? | Which account is stuck, on which step, since when? |
| Unit | A number per account | A percentage per step | A named step per account |
| What CS does next | Works out which inputs moved the score | Plans a campaign for a cohort | Calls the owner about one named step |
| Changes when | The model is retuned | The cohort closes | You edit the checklist |
How this demo was built
The company is made up. The build is not: every step below happened, in this order.
- 01 BRIEF
Who the site is for, a Head of CS at a B2B SaaS company, what they need to see, and the one action that matters: booking a demo.
- 02 DIRECTION
A pre-flight checklist look: laminate grey, ink, checklist yellow, and red only for a stalled step. The page reads like the product.
- 03 PAGES
Elementor containers and free widgets. The three audience pages share one saved template, each with its own copy.
- 04 STORE
WooCommerce with one free download, checked end to end by a scripted guest checkout.
- 05 SEO AND SPEED
Titles, descriptions, schema and a clean sitemap, measured with Lighthouse.
